19th C. Coromandel Inlaid Vanity Box

A superb mid 19th century Coromandel wood vanity box of fine quality, having brass inlaid banding with original inset carrying handles.  The box opens to reveal the original plush silk and velvet lined interior with leather gilt tooled tray and compartments containing the original solid silver embossed topped bottles.  The lid conceals a coromandel framed mirror.  A spring-loaded catch when pushed opens a concealed fitted drawer beneath.  Wonderful original condition throughout.  English, 1854.
