Lancashire High Back Elm Windsor Chair

A lovely example of a Lancashire Elm and Ash Windsor chair from the mid 19th century.  This tactile chair having turned legs, adjoined by an 'H' Stretcher,  with a  strong bow back and carved back splat.  The saddle seat  and use of timber selection make this a highly attractive country chair.  Wonderful rich colour and patina throughout this strong sturdy Windsor.
