A superb pair of 19th century solid English oak library armchairs. With beautfiully carved scrolled arms and raised on bold turned front legs with original inset brass castors, both having buttoned backs with sprung seats and retaining the original horse hair inners. Strong and sturdy - ready for re-upholstery. Wonderful colour and patina to the showwood of which retains the orignial finish. English, Circa 1850.
