A super quality Ebony adjustable library reading stand with 2 adjustable book rests, removable bars and single drawer. The rectangular top raised on an acanthus carved column with gilt brass fittings. Terminating to a platform base with squat bun feet of which retain the original inset brass castors. Fully adjustable height and all firm standing. Wonderful original finish and colour, the top section all beautifully Mahogany lined. English, Circa 1840.
