A beautiful pair of Chippendale period 18th century side chairs, having particularly large wide seats typical for this period of chair, raised on chamfered legs with H stretcher rails. The backs beautifully hand carved to an exceptional standard. Wonderful dense timber with excellent colour and patina throughout. The chairs currently upholstered in a red velvet of which bares a country house look, retaining their original horse hair. English, Circa 1770.
