An impressive 19th century giltwood and gesso oval wall mirror of huge proportions. The moulded oval frame decorated in green gesso and water gilded decoration. Having the original water gilding which has rubbed through to the bole, giving a magical appearance. Retaining the original aged plate with light foxing. English, Circa 1860.
