Having a Sienna Marble Case with a Bronze of Sophocles Bust cresting, the case decorated in bronze mounts and raised on decorative bronzed feet, the silver dial with a highly unusual and wonderful stylised Serpent Bezel. The silver dial signed 'Archinard A Paris'. The French striking movement with silk suspension and outside count wheel. French, Circa 1820.
