A stunning Pollard Oak Bookcase of superb quality. The whole made in solid figured Oak with Pollard Oak panels to the front and sides, shallow break fronted with a stepped cornice supported by fluted uprights terminating in scroll ends. Having a gadrooned edged top, with fully adjustable original shelves. The base with inset panelled decoration, retaining the original lock and key. The doors open to reveal the original fixed shelves. The whole raised on a plinth base. This amazing timber shows superb colour and lustre, in wonderful original condition throughout. English, Circa 1870.
