Description
SOLD William IV Mahogany Antique Safe & Cabinet by Chubb Queen Victoria Street London. The Cabinet replicates a Wellington chest, the dummy drawers apart from the bottom drawer conceal a door flanked by acanthus leaf carved reeded pilasters. The cabinet is veneered in the highest quality fiddleback mahogany having a beautiful colour and patina. The proportions of this piece are superb and it is considered an extremely rare piece. All of the locks to the outer cabinet are stamped with the Chubbs patent.
