SOLD
A Victorian Burr and Figured Walnut Davenport of a good quality, the upper section having a lift up lid to reveal a storage well of which is lined in maple, above sits the stationary compartment with hinged lift up lid containing various compartments, the top finished with a brass gallery rail. The green leather writing surface having gilt and tooled decoration. The lower section contains 4 full length drawers to one side with dummy drawers to the other, each drawer retaining its original turned knob handles. The Davenport has beautifully turned upright supports with carved decoration, raised on plinth base with inset castors. The front panel and top finished with intricate boxwood inlay. Lovely colour and lustre, in excellent condition throughout.
